King Cake Shipping & Refund Policy

Shipping Disclaimers: Orders placed before 11:00 am Central Standard Time will be shipped out the same day of purchase Monday-Wednesday for overnight and 2-day shipping. Orders placed after 11:00 am will be shipped out the next business day. If you place an order after 11:00 am on Wednesday with a 2-day shipping option, or after 11:00 am on Thursday for overnight shipping, please note that your king cake may not arrive until the following Monday due to the FedEx shipping policy.  We do not ship or deliver on weekends. All orders are shipped via Federal Express.

Joe’s Cafe and Federal Express are not responsible for any delays in delivery or a non-delivered king cake due to a wrong or an incomplete address provided by the purchaser. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide and ensure the correct address.  Any change in the delivery address when the king cake is already in route to a destination will incur any additional fees by the carrier for the correction. Please do not attempt to ship to a Post Office Box, Federal Express will not ship to a P.O. Box.

  • Joe’s Cafe and Federal Express are not responsible for any delay in delivery due to weather conditions or other reasons out of control of Joe’s Cafe or Federal Express.
  • If Joe’s Cafe or Federal Express is at fault for your king cake not being delivered, Joe’s Cafe will refund or resend your king cake on the next available date.  Please notify Joe’s Cafe at
  • Joe’s Cafe is not responsible for the manner in which Federal Express delivers your king cake. If your king cake is damaged, please send us a photo of the king cake, proof of purchase, and a contact number to
  • Gift messages or order notes will be shown on the packing slip directly behind the shipping label.
  • There is no pre-ordering. King cake purchases should be made at the time you need them shipped.
  • All king cake products will ship as they are listed. There will not be an option to add multiple flavors.

We take pride in our king cakes. All king cakes are baked and shipped fresh daily.  Joe’s Cafe places a perfect king cake into the shipping container.

Once your package is in the care of FedEx, we cannot be held responsible for damaged, lost or stolen packages. In the event that FedEx states that your package has been delivered to you, yet you did not receive it, you must contact the FedEx office within 24 hours of said delivery.

We cannot refund you for a package that shows it was delivered to you according to tracking. It is your responsibility to follow up to locate your package and to file a claim. We will do everything is our control to help you with the process but it is your responsibility to follow through with FedEx for the recovery of the missing package and the process of filing the claim.

Please make sure you have the correct shipping address when you check out. It is your responsibility to make sure all your information is correct. If your package is returned due to incorrect information supplied to us, there are no refunds.
